Embroidered Maps

I’ve got crazy map love! Currently, in addition to working on commissions for embroidered wood maps of Edmonton and Stettler (Alberta), Vancouver, Roncesvalles (Toronto), Manhattan, and Oaxaca (Mexico), I’m working on a series of metal and wood Toronto maps – I’m experimenting with new styles of construction and playing a bit more with negative space and 3-dimensionality – for a “Toronto” show opening November 8th, 2012 at the amazing Junction craft-love emporium Wise Daughters (www.wisedaughters.com). I’m super excited to be showing my maps along side the Amazing map artist Marlena Zuber (http://maps.marlenazuber.com)!

  2. Woah! I’m really enjoying the template/theme of this site.
It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s difficult to get that “perfect balance” between superb usability and visual appearance.
I must say you have done a amazing job with this.
In addition, the blog loads very fast for me on Safari.
    Excellent Blog!

  3. Have you ever considered creating an ebook or guest authoring on other sites?
I have a blog based on the same ideas you discuss and would love to have you share some stories/information. I know my
readers would appreciate your work. If you are even remotely interested, feel
free to shoot me an e-mail.
