I recently finished this commission for a cool lady and her husband in Minneapolis; it’s a few pages from the children’s book “I Love You” by Sandol Stoddard Warburg, illustrations by Jacqueline Chwast. They read pages from it at their wedding and she wanted the pages stitched for their anniversary. So sweet! So lovely!
The pages are stitched onto 8″x10″ wood panels. I really loved doing the stitching for these. I think I may have developed a new addiction: stitching children’s book illustrations.
I LOVE these Casey. They look amazing. I’m utterly mystified by how you stitch on wood.
Lately, I’ve been stitching children’s illustrations too. Must be something in the air! ๐
๐ There’s something really compelling about stitching children’s illustrations.
I might be hooked now.
And I’ve been thinking of posting a tutorial of my wood and metal stitching process.
I think that would be a really interesting tutorial. I’d love to hear about how you do it! ๐
